Jackie joined Wait & Haxby (later to become Minster Veterinary Centre) in 1989 as a receptionist/nursing assistant and here she is all these years later as Practice Manager. Her main focus is client care and ensuring the practice gives the best possible service to its clients and their pets. Jackie has the mammoth task of looking after the ever-growing MVC team (65 at the last count!). In her spare time, she enjoys socialising with friends and walking her (sometimes reluctant) Bull Terrier, Mabel!
David is the practice owner, he graduated from the Royal Veterinary College and has a keen interest in production animal medicine. David is based at our Southwell practice.
Paul graduated from Glasgow University and is a certified veterinary ophthalmologist and BVA panel member. Paul is based at our Southwell branch 3 days a week and accepts external referral work from surrounding practices.
Peter graduated from Bristol University, he is the companion animal clinical manager. He has special interest in all aspects of small animal surgery and continues to maintain an interest in production animal health planning and medicine but rarely spends time out on farm these days. Peter splits his time between our Southwell and Newark practices and continues with a full working clinical role within the practice as well as his managerial duties.
Mark graduated from Edinburgh University and has a keen interest in both equine and production animal medicine. Mark is based at our Southwell practice.
Rachel is based at our Newark practice and enjoys all aspects of companion animal work. She especially enjoys soft tissue surgery and has a keen interest in small furries- rabbits in particular. In her spare time Rachel loves walking with her scruffy border terrier; Whiz. She is also a keen Latin dancer and teaches Bachata on a weekly basis!
Rachael graduated from Nottingham University. She is interested in all aspects of mixed practice. She is very interested in small and large animal surgery. Outside of work her hobbies include, spending time with her own dog (a Shiba Inu called Yoshi), horse riding, archery and travelling.
Harvey graduated from Liverpool University and prior to joining the Minster Veterinary Centre spent time working on the Yorkshire coast line including working with rescued seals. Harvey works as a mixed vet within the practice.
Jyoti graduated from Bristol University and works primarily from our Burton Joyce branch with the occasional day at our Newark Branch. Outside of work, Jyoti enjoys Salsa dancing, gardening and her cats.
Annie works from our Fernwood and Newark branches 4 days a week and has a keen interest in small animal medicine and diagnostics.
Emma graduated from Cambridge University. Outside of work she can usually be found exploring the Nottinghamshire countryside on her bike or walking her stubborn rescue dog, Tod. She enjoys all aspects of mixed practice with a particular interest in camelid medicine and tends to be based at our Newark and Fernwood branches.
Amy graduated from Edinburgh University and has a keen interest in small animal surgery and medicine. Amy is currently studying for her certificate in small animal surgery. Amy works 3 days at our Southwell practice and 1 day a week at our Calverton branch.
Fiona joined us after graduating from the University of Glasgow. She enjoys all aspects of mixed practice and the variety each day brings. Outside of work she likes to keep active. She enjoys swimming and climbing; and plays water polo and netball for local teams. She lives in Southwell with her hard-to-please cat, Charlie.
Arwyn graduated from the University of Glasgow. She has an interest in all aspects of mixed practice, particularly small and large animal surgery and large animal herd health. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Arwyn enjoys baking, watching Scottish rugby, and playing with her two cats.
Rowan graduated from Glasgow and has been a mixed vet at Minster ever since. She enjoys her time on the farm just as much as her time with the smaller animals, particularly doing surgery and emergency medicine. Outside of work, Rowan is a founding member of the Minster Veterinary Centre Triathalon Club. She primarily enjoys an outdoor adventure, cycling and climbing but can also be found on the sofa with her feline housemate, Skype.
Becky qualified from the University of Cambridge and worked in mixed practice in Lincolnshire for two years before moving to Southwell with her two rescue cats Frida and Tayto. Becky primarily works out of the Southwell and Calverton branches. Becky particularly enjoys small animal surgery, emergency work for both small animal and equine cases and equine wound care. In her spare time Becky plays the clarinet in a local wind band and attending music festivals – and occasionally manages to attend yoga classes in an attempt to keep fit.
Graduated from Cambridge. Jack enjoys making the house more beige and the garden more green. Recently joined the Minster Vet Centre Triathlon Club, is a fan of cake, wine and Italian or Indian food.
Greg qualified from Cambridge University. He has worked as a mixed vet (small and large animal) for his entire career. Greg enjoys the weird, wonderful and often challenging variety in his work, within the important framework of good interactions and communications with clients. Downtime usually includes gardening, outdoors exercise or time with friends, but is often filled by his better half and their cat, O’Malley.
Adam qualified from the RVC and works as a mixed vet within the practice.
Katie has worked for Minster Veterinary Centre for over 10 years, she is one of our 2 head nurses with keen interests in clinical coaching of student nurses and medical nursing. She is an active pet health counsellor and runs various nurse clinics. Outside of work she enjoys horse riding and spending time with her husband and two children.
Ellie graduated as a qualified veterinary nurse from the Royal Veterinary College. Ellie has 2 Hungarian viszlas at home, and has always loved working with animals.
Sarah is in her second spell as an RVN for Minster Veterinary Centre having realised she just couldn’t stay away, she works from our Burton Joyce practice. Outside of work Sarah enjoys motorsport, the theatre and drinking Pimms in the garden. She has 2 terriers and 4 rescue cats.

Jadine works across several of our practices. She is one of our regular clinic nurses.
Sarah has works from our Newark practice and recently got married just to have exactly the same name as one of our receptionists.

Phillipa is an RVN in both small animal and equine. She is also a clinical coach and pet health counsellor. In work she enjoys surgical nursing & radiography work both in small and equine patients alongside teaching and educating our student nurses and nursing assistants. Phillipa has a deep dislike for slugs & maggots of any nature! Her interests out of work include caring & competing my 2 horses, running long distance & socialising with friends when time allows.

Rebecca is a student vet nurse who spends her spare time walking her two dogs, enjoys dancing, going to the theatre and holidaying when possible.
Katie has lived on a working farm all of her life, she has a Jack Russel and a Shetland pony. She enjoys sewing, crafts, socialising and exploring the countryside in her spare time.

Mr Wright retired from clinical practice but remains as an integral part of the practice management team. He keeps the steam engine and cogs of our computer system turning.
Emma works from our Southwell practice and enjoys nothing more than a good health and safety assessment and inspection.
Helen is one half of our large animal reception team. She really doesn’t want to have a profile on the website if possible.
Lesley works at our Calverton branch. She has previously worked as a Veterinary Nurse at other practices. She has a very dear old doggie called Winnie who is over 15, 2 Horses, Billy & Charlie and loves hacking around countryside. She also loves guinea pigs and currently owns four!

Sarah has worked at Minster Veterinary Centre for 7 years on reception, mainly at the Southwell branch. She enjoys exercising (mainly out of work) and walking her cocker spaniel Cub. She loves holidays in Norfolk and the Carribean. She loves socialising with friends, cooking and reading.
Jade joined the Minster Veterinary Centre in 2014. Jade enjoys working across our different practices, but is mainly based at our Newark branch. Jade’s main role is meeting all the clients and getting to know their pets. Jade has enjoyed owning many pets over the years which included dogs, cats, rabbits and fish
Judy works from our Southwell surgery. She lives with her 3 children, enjoys spending time with friends and family, walking her dogs, gardening and reading.
Corinne has been a veterinary receptionist for 5 years and loves it. She has had pets all her life and currently has 2 boxer dogs who keep her on her feet. In her free time she likes to do lots of different things as she doesn’t like sitting still for too long. She likes to try new things which can range from trying new food to attaining new hobbies.
Leah works from our Southwell surgery. She lives on a large sheep farm and trains and trials her sheep dogs.
Tracey works from our Newark branch. Originating from South Africa Tracey began her interest in veterinary work while attempting to herd cats, a skill set which is vital when working in veterinary reception.
Sara joined our reception team in 2010 from a background in customer service but has always had a great love of animals, she now is the main receptionist for our Fernwood branch. She enjoys chatting, drinking coffee and spinning on her chair.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family husband Tony and daughter Connie and walking her two Labradors Buddy (pictured) and Drake she also has a rescue cat called Henry.
