Healthcare on a herd scale

We provide 24 hour healthcare for our clients with help and advice only a phone call away. Our services range from emergency call outs for obstetrics and sick animals through to comprehensive herd healthcare plans.

We offer pre-movement and routine TB testing carried out by our clinical veterinary staff and can provide assistance with farm assurance issues and concerns.

Medication orders

Medications can be collected from any of our 3 sites, but we may require up to 5 days’ notice (usually only 48hrs) for collection of medication from Newark or Calverton as medications are ordered and stocked through our Southwell branch.

Legal disposal of medicines and needles

All medicinal waste including needles, syringes, bottles, tubes and excess/expired medicines have to be disposed of legally. Your waste management provider may be able to offer you suitable storage containers and collection services, if not, Minster Veterinary Centre can help. We can provide you with the legal and correct containers for used medicines or sharps, which when full can be dropped off at the practice for legal disposal. Receipts can be given for this service to keep as legal record of disposal for trading standards or farm assurance checks.
