Weight clinics at Minster Veterinary Centre

Our qualified veterinary nurses provide weight clinics for clients with pets which have been struggling with weight issues, providing help with weight loss, diet changes and weight gain as required.

The clinics are provided free of charge from all 3 of our companion animal practices, with no fees for initial consultation or follow up. Clinics can be referred from our vets or booked directly by our clients if they feel weight is becoming an issue.
Our nurse led clinics will provide as much support and information as the client feels they require, ranging from simple weight checks and advice on treats and exercise all the way through to calorie intake calculations, diet planning and body measurement checks. Initial consultations with the nurse for weight clinics generally take between 30-60 minutes with follow up checks and consultations determined on a case by case situation. Puppy parties

Puppy parties are a great way for puppies to begin their socialisation. As a species, dogs have a very narrow window for learning social skills, so early exposure to various shapes and sizes of other dogs of similar ages can be a big help prior to puppy training.

Our puppy parties are currently only held at our Calverton branch and are run over 2 evenings a week apart. They get booked up very quickly so please call to enquire as soon as you get your new bundle of energy!

There is a small fee for the course of 2 parties to try to reduce the number of people who book and don’t arrive. There are refreshments provided and your puppy will receive a certificate of attendance, a rosette and a party bag. The party bag contents do vary, but will include vouchers for free worming, free tick and flea control, free food and a selection of goodies and information. For more information please call our Calverton branch.
